Privacy policy

How TradiQuo collects, uses and protects personal information, written with the Australian Privacy Principles in mind.

Draft for review. This page hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and will be updated before TradiQuo launches commercially.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email, password (stored as a one-way hash) and sign-in records.
  • Business details you enter: ABN, contact details, licences, rates and price lists.
  • Your customers' details that you enter: names, contact details, site addresses, photos, recordings and notes about their jobs.
  • Quote acceptance evidence: the signer's name, signature, time, IP address and browser details.
  • Usage and technical logs needed to run and secure the service.

Who holds your customers' information

For information about your customers, your business is responsible for collecting it lawfully and TradiQuo handles it on your behalf to provide the service.

How we use information

To provide the service, keep it secure, bill subscriptions, send the emails you ask us to send, and support you. We don't sell personal information. We don't use your business's data to train shared AI models.

Service providers and overseas disclosure

We use providers to run TradiQuo. Some may store or process information outside Australia, including the United States:

  • AI processing (Anthropic) when you choose to draft an estimate with AI: your job notes and trade task list are sent for that request.
  • Payments (Stripe) for subscription billing.
  • Accounting (Xero), only if you connect it.
  • Email delivery and hosting providers.

Photos are stripped of location metadata when uploaded.

Security

Each business's data is separated at the database level. Customer quote links use long random tokens, and integration tokens are encrypted. See our security page.

Access, correction and deletion

You can view and correct most information in the app. To request a copy of your data or deletion of your account, contact support@rootxcess.com. Some records, such as issued invoices, may need to be kept to meet tax law.

Complaints

Contact support@rootxcess.com. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
